One of my best friends weddings!

Arielle Driggs married to Adam Fredrico!

First off, they are perfect for each other. Adam is so darling and treats Arielle so well. And Arielle is so amazing!! We were roommates in NZ and grew super close as we experiences so many hard but wonderful things. She was so beautiful at her wedding, no shocker there :)! I love you both. Their wedding was classy and perfect! I loved every minute of it! Thanks for letting me be a part!

Her colors were light pink, purple, and green. I did all of her florals, with the help of her family and friends. Bouquet, 7 centerpieces, 4 tall centerpieces, guest book table, 13 mens boutonnieres, and 8 womens boutonnieres, and 4 bridesmaid bouquets. I love how she wanted artichoke in her designs - it turned out super cool! :)

I think for my first wedding I did pretty good! More pictures later! Love you Arielle FREDRICO! :) Congratulations you two!

My Journey of designs

In my classes, I have learned and had a lot of practice with a lot of different designs. Unfortunately, I haven't been very good at capturing them through pictures. Here are some pictures of designs I have collected from my very early stages of being interested in floral design! I have done many more, but never took pictures of them, how sad.

Floral design class, silk design:
Floral design class, bridal bouquet (i forgot to take a picture of them before they dried out):

Floral design class, basket design: I love this one! I made a pathway with yellow button mums.

Floral design TA, christmas candle design:

Flowers from Ryan from a wrap. I cut and arranged them in the vases I could find in my apartment. The first one was for Valentines day, and the second one was a bunch of flowers 'just because'! :

Ahh. LOVE. :)

Hello World!

I guess I just got really excited about blogging because I finally understand how to make it my own!

But why did I make this blog? It's a hope that I, someday, out of my own home can do flowers for weddings and other events! I love to create things with beautiful fresh flowers! It just makes me happy!

Right now, I am just doing weddings for friends for free to get more experience, but I hope someday to expand into my own small business.

How did this passion begin? I took Floral Design at BYU winter semester of my freshman year for a general. I INSTANTLY fell in love. And I became quickly passionate about it. The fall semester of my sophomore year, I took an interior plants class because I loved my floral design teacher so much. After returning to Provo, my junior year after a study abroad, I was the Floral Design TA for a semester! I LOVED my job!!

Now I work at the BYU greenhouse, where we care for all the interior plants on campus, set up for campus events - which includes creating and designing all florals, and growing and caring for all of the flowers that are planted in the spring (and it is a process, let me tell you)! But I really do love my job!

At the beginning of this year, I declared my minor as landscape design. Basically I just love being outdoors and working with any kind of plants, especially flowers. Join and follow me as I experience my passion!
